Join Lauren for Yoga Restore to help you feel relaxed and reconnected with yourself as you begin your New Year.

You will be guided through 75 minutes of restorative yoga and yoga nidra, to soothe the nervous system and calm the body-mind. This practice is very slow, gentle and rejuvenating to restore wellbeing and peace.  Suitable for all levels - all welcome.

What is restorative yoga?
This is a slow and gentle yoga practice suitable for all levels.  You can expect to hold poses for a longer time, 5-15 minutes, while focusing on stillness, deep breathing and relaxation.  We use lots of props so you feel comfortable and supported to release tension in the body and mind.  Restorative yoga helps to activate the parasympathetic nervous system, which is the "rest and digest" healing mode where we feel rejuvenated, safe and restful.

What is yoga nidra?
Yoga nidra is a yoga practice of guided relaxation, typically done for about 30-60 minutes.  It is done laying down in a comfortable position and encourages awareness of your breath, body, and inner emotions and thoughts. It is similar to meditation but no meditation experience is required as yoga nidra is fully guided.  Yoga nidra is restorative and incredibly restful for the nervous system.
