Begin your day with Jemma for Morning Gentle Flow, a 75 minute Hatha Yoga class suitable for students of all experience levels.
Harness the quiet power of the early morning to foster a deeper connection to body, breath, mind. Using the tools of Yoga, we move our bodies and find our breath through the guidance of Asana (postures) and Pranayama (breath techniques).
The elements for our Summer/Autumn Program are Fire moving into Metal - each class engages with the qualities of the season and the accompanying element as a theme. We cultivate honest intention as the undercurrent for our day.

What does this look like? - It's the early morning, so we warm the body into movement towards Yoga Asana with focus on healthy alignment and stability. We guide the mind towards stillness through Pranayama. The class may involve a short guided meditation, Mantra (voice) and Mudra (hand gestures) with the sole purpose to grow awareness around how to BE in each moment.

Jemma is a Yoga Teacher, Artist and Massage Therapist. Inspired by the ever-changing moods and seasons of this island home, her classes take you on a gentle journey to find these aspects of nature within. After spending some years enriching her practice throughout Indonesia, India and Nepal, she found her roots in Yoga Teaching with Bija Yoga Tasmania in 2019/20. She is a qualified Fine Artist (BA Fine Art) and incorporates creativity and visualisation into the Yoga experience, with a curiosity as to how we can move through our days more aligned, mindful and compassionate beings.
