Immerse yourself in this 6 Week Mid-Winter Hatha Yoga Series, taking you on a journey towards alignment, stability and presence.
~ What does this look like? ~
For 6 weeks, Jemma will guide you through Yoga Asana (postures) with a mindful focus on the flow of the breath (Pranayama) and the presence of BE-ing, simply and powerfully. Hatha Yoga is the practice of uniting 'Ha' the Sun and 'Tha' the Moon ~ ultimately bringing harmony between mind and body through balancing Prana (energy).
Working towards a peak-pose that can be strong or gentle, we have the opportunity to lean into the qualities of Mid-Winter through exploring Yoga Asana, while cultivating deeper understanding and awareness of our bodies, mind and spirit.
Hatha Flow is designed for all levels of experience, whether you having been practicing for a long or little time, Jemma will offer guidance and modifications as you need.
This hour-long morning class promises the space to build on the tools of Yoga so that we can gently explore our inner outer and landscapes as embodied, focused and balanced beings.
Mats and props provided.
~ About Jemma: ~
Jemma is a Yoga Teacher, Massage Therapist & Artist. Inspired by the changing landscape and seasons of this island home, her classes take you on a journey to find these aspects of nature within. Jemma is passionate about guiding people to experience a deeper, connected and holistic relationship with their bodies. As a practitioner of Yoga for 10 years, she has found through her own experience, that a daily movement practice is a powerful way to cultivate connection to oneself and the world around them. After spending some years enriching her practice throughout Indonesia, India and Nepal, she found her roots in Yoga Teaching when training with Bija Yoga Tasmania in 2019/20. She is a qualified Fine Artist (BA Fine Art) and incorporates creativity, visualisation and play into the Yoga experience, with a curiosity as to how we can move through our days more aligned, centred and compassionate beings.
