Join Jen for an 8 week series of Yin Yang flow.
A combination of breathwork, active Yang flowing movements and passive Yin Yoga poses.

Arriving in our bodies with gentle awareness, we will start the practice with some breathwork, to both stimulate concentration and calm the nervous system. Followed by a more active flow, unwinding the body, working on the mobility of the spine and building up strength. At the end of the class we will arrive in a couple of Yin Yoga poses, which are usually held for 2-3 minutes each, targeting a release within the deeper connective tissue.

Yin/Yang Yoga has its roots in China in the Taoist concepts of Yin - which is seen as internal, imaginative, resting, cool, moon energy - and Yang - external, creative, active, warm, sun energy.
Taoists and Chinese Medicine believe that both of those energies cannot exist without each other and are both equally within us.

With this practice we are aiming to balance the two currents of Yin and Yang flowing through us, improving strength and fitness while promoting deep relaxation and rested state of being.

About Jen:

Being a newbie Yoga teacher, I just finished a 200 hour teacher training, focusing on the subtle anatomy of the body, fascia release, somatic movement, breathwork and meditation, plus another 100 hour deepening Yin Yoga training with Carlos Romero in Bali.

Yoga and meditation have been my passion for many years and finally becoming a teacher is a dream come true. My intention is to create Yoga classes which are accessible for everyone. Offering a more mindful practice, inviting you to connect to the magical vessel that is your body with a certain gentleness and care, combined with the ancient tradition of breathwork and meditation for a calmer, more balanced state of mind and nervous system.
