We move into long resting postures that aim to facilitate rest and re-connect within. We can settle the mind via practices that calm the nervous system, sometimes it doesn't happen straight away, but there are tools and techniques to facilitate nervous-system regulation and states of understanding, compassion and essentially tools to create self-empowerment. Little, big and all the in between traumas can leave us feeling disconnected and disempowered, reclaiming this sense of self is so important in healing and living a satisfying joyous, loving life.

Joining into these sessions gives you space to rest, find tools to cultivate a loving and caring relationship with yourself and offers for self-soothing and self-healing practices.

22nd March Sanctuary

A Sanctuary provides a safe and supportive physical, mental and emotional space, where one can find comfort, healing and protection from distressing experiences. Like a feeling of coming home to rest in safety, being nourished and held in a safe cocoon. This session will provide lots of nourishment, warmth and kindness through the practice.

29th March Autonomy

Autonomy is the realisation and finding of ones own ability to make self determined choices and decisions. When cultivating self autonomy we are learning how to set boundaries for ourselves and regaining a sense of control over our lives, despite the impacts of traumatic experiences. In this practice we begin to regain a sense of empowerment through aligning with our needs and values and are supported and encouraged to make decisions that are best for our wellbeing.

5th April Empathy

Empathy can be found in cultivating understanding for our feelings and thoughts, especially when we have had distressing experiences. We can foster how to offer: compassionate-support, validation for our emotions and create an inner connection that fosters healing and sense of being seen and understood by ourselves. In this session we can practice offering empathy and understanding gently to our more sensitive or hurt areas of the body, mind and emotions, developing self-acceptance, healing and love.

12th April Resilience

Resilience lies in our ability to learn how to adapt and recover from adverse experiences. It requires courage and inner strength to navigate challenges, building upon coping mechanisms and encouraging a balanced yet more positive outlook on our lives, despite the impact of traumatic events. Ultimately resilience is a personal growth and well-being journey that looks and feels different to everyone, yet we all have a capacity to tap into our unique inner sense of resilience. In this session we acknowledge where we have already found resilience in our lives and how we can continue to maintain a sense of resilience for further healing.

19th April Nourishment

Nourishment is the delivery of physical, emotional, and psychological support that fosters healing and restoration. It involves sustaining individuals with resources and care to help rebuild a sense of well-being for the long-term. In this session we build upon caring tools and practices to support us for our day to day life, tool that we can come back to outside these trauma informed sessions.
